Town of Saratoga friends, listen up please. Wood County Emergency Management has been out and about installing address tiles throughout the township. These tiles have a purpose. As you know, Saratoga doesn’t enjoy great or consistent GPS coverage, so locating an address can be difficult, particularly in an emergency situation when time is critical. The tiles are being installed at no cost to you. The Town is using American Rescue Plan (ARPA) funds to complete this work. PLEASE DON’T REMOVE THE ADDRESS TILES; YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THEY MIGHT BE THE THING THAT SAVES YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE.
Thanks so much for your cooperation.
Will I be refunded the $50 I had to pay to get my fire number tile back in Nov. 2020? The police & ambulance could not find my house because of no fire number tile & I was told I had to pay $50 to get one. It took 6 months to get it.
Yes, residents that have purchased a sign previously will be reimbursed. This take place after all of the signs have been installed.
Thank you,
Paulette Weinfurter
Town of Saratoga Clerk
We have two different address tiles listed on our property, on the same post. VERY confusing to anyone looking for our house, we would like the extra/incorrect address sign removed. The extra one if for a lot between our house & our neighbors house, there isn’t even a home there.
Please feel free to reach out to Wood County Emergency Management at 715-421-8500. They will be able to assist with the placement of the signs.
